MEALS ON WHEELS

 

Meals on Wheels assist our elderly and homeboud by bringing nutrious meals to those who are in need. St. Catherine's is responsible to help once every 6-7 weeks.

 

To receive meals, please call the Dauphin County Agency on Aging - 780-6130.

 

To volunteer to help deliver, call Alice Dillon - 564-6772.

 

 

Prison Ministry

 

Bringing the Word of God to those who are incarcerated to help them to reflect on  the direction of their lives through a caring heart.

FOOD DRIVE

 

Throughout the year the Youth at St. Catherine's hold Food Drives to help restock the pantries at the Food Bank and Saint Francis Soup Kitchen.  Parishoners may bring canned or boxed food items to Church with them and they will be collected.

CLOTHING AND BLANKET DRIVES

THE GIVING TREE

 

Each year during the Advent Season a tree is decorated in the Narthex with tags bearing the Christmas wishes of a child in need for special clothing items or toys.  Parishoners are welcome to take a tag and purchase the items.  The gifts are then wrapped in beautiful Christmas paper and brought into the Church to be given to the children who need them.

Welcoming Committee

 

Caring people are invited to become part of the St. Catherine Laboure Caring Community...reaching out to those who are new to the area or the parish and giving assistance, information and welcome.  Please call Karen at the parish office if you wish to be part of this important ministry.

Spring Creek Nursing Home

 

Help is always appreciated at the Spring Creek Nursing Home for Saturday Mass at 10:00.  Volunteers assist the staff in setting up for Mass or help to bring patients who are ambulatory.

And the King will answer in reply, "Amen, I say to you.  Whatever you did for one of these least of my brothers, you did for me."  Matt 25: 40
